Light Rail Manila Corporation, the private operator and maintenance provider of LRT-1, wishes to clarify that the reported incident by a news site did not happen at the LRT-1 Blumentritt station and was not caused by a facility or structure of LRT-1. The passengers involved are also not LRT-1 passengers. The incident took place at a construction site located about 20 meters away from the station. LRMC would like to assure that the company upholds the highest safety standards and remains committed in running the LRT-1 system safely for Filipino commuters.
