Northeast monsoon, tail-end of cold front affecting PH

MANILA — The tail-end of the cold front is affecting the eastern section and Central Luzon while the northeast monsoon is affecting extreme Northern Luzon.

State weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday said the tail end of the cold front will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora and Quezon.

Likewise, Davao region and Soccsksargen will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers, strong winds and thunderstorms caused by trough of low pressure area (LPA)

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainstorms due to localized thunderstorms which could result to flashfloods, scattered heavy rains. lightning and strong winds. (PNA)
