November 2019 inflation climbs to 1.3%

The inflation in November 2019, said the Philippine Statistics Authority, stepped up to 1.3% compared to the lower 0.8% in October 2019. The statistics arm attributed the rise to the increasing prices of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, electricity, dwelling rent, water, and petrol. Unemployment rate in the country in October 2019, meanwhile, decreased a bit to 4.5% compared to October 2018’s 5.1%.
