An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates died after getting into a road accident, according to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Gina Sorianosos, 48, was hit by a vehicle while crossing the pedestrian lane.

Her remains were already sent home, according to OWWA Administrator Arnell Ignacio.

Based on OWWA’s list, Sorianosos is an undocumented OFW, but Ignacio vowed to still help her family.

“Basta naman within the jurisdiction ng OWWA ay kinikilusan natin agad,” he added.

According to Ignacio, the suspect already surrendered to authorities and is now in jail. – Report from Louisa Erispe/GB-ag
