After leading the turnover of 333 Disiplina Village housing units to beneficiaries in Valenzuela City, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. proceeded to his next engagement in Caloocan City on Tuesday.

At the Barangay 167 Gymnasium in Llano, he led the awarding of land titles to 110 families, granting them proof of ownership under the administration’s expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.

The new homeowners are among the qualified beneficiaries under the Llano Homeowners Association Federation, which was formed in 2020. The title awarding was carried out through the Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP) of the Social Housing Finance Corp. (SHFC), one of the housing initiatives under the administration’s 4PH Program.

The Community Mortgage Program provides affordable financing to organized community associations for land acquisition and other housing requirements, allowing residents of informal settlements to secure ownership of the land they occupy and develop organized communities.

Since its establishment in 1988, the program has helped more than 301,000 families nationwide gain security of tenure.

In acknowledgement of the backlog in housing developments that are yet to be addressed, President Marcos Jr. assured Filipinos that the government continues to work with concerned agencies and local governments to ensure that more Filipinos gain access to equitable housing.

The Chief Executive reminded the land title recipients, “Sana ay pangalagaan ninyo ang inyong pag-aari at makakatiyak tayo, makakatiyak tayo na ang mga kinabukasan ay kahit papaano ay mabigyan ng kaunting ginhawa.”
