Over 362-K Pfizer jabs arrive in PH

At least 362,700 additional doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines arrived on Wednesday (Aug. 25) in Manila and Cebu.

Of this, about 50,310 doses of vaccines arrived in Cebu at 6:30 p.m., while the remaining vaccine doses arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport around 9:00 p.m.

From NAIA, more than 260,000 Pfizer vaccine doses will be transferred to the cold storage facility of Pharmaserv Express in Marikina City.

Like in Cebu, at least 50,000 doses from the latest shipment are allocated to Davao, which will be delivered on Thursday (Aug. 26). 

The Pfizer vaccine is the first COVID-19 to be granted with full approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for individuals aged 16 years old and above. – Report from Rod Lagusad / CF – bny
