The Philippines has administered a total of 91,777,433 doses of coronavirus vaccine nationwide, with 38,168,603 Filipinos having received their two doses.

As of Monday (Dec. 6), data from the national COVID-19 vaccination dashboard showed 53,098,886 Filipinos have received their first dose and a total of 509,944 booster shots and additional doses were given to healthcare workers, senior citizens, and immunocompromised individuals.

The current average daily vaccination rate in the last seven days stood at 1,497,212 doses.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported that a total of 9,937,827 COVID-19 doses were administered during the five-day massive Bayanihan, Bakunahan vaccination drive, which was originally set for Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, and was later extended to Dec. 3.

The government is also set to hold another round of massive vaccination from Dec. 15 to 17, with an aim of fully inoculating 54 million Filipinos by the end of this year.

National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) and DOH Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje earlier said similar guidelines will be imposed during the second leg of the Bayanihan, Bakunahan drive.

The Philippines has so far secured 146 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines since February. (PNA) – jlo
