P11-M drugs seized in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY — Bohol police intelligence officers seized on Wednesday about PHP11 million worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth), their biggest haul since May 2017.

Elements of the Bohol Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) arrested Joseph Alburadora in his residence on Carlos P. Garcia East Avenue in Barangay Mansasa here and recovered some 935 grams of shabu.

The PIB said they secured a warrant for Alburadura’s arrest after some of the drug suspects arrested earlier named him as their source.

During the raid, PIB operatives found 36 large and 17 medium-sized packs of shabu in a knapsack placed inside the suspect’s refrigerator.

The drug haul was the second biggest in Bohol following the capture of high-level target Teofilo Tampus, who yielded PHP18 million worth of shabu in May last year.

Alburadora is now detained at the Bohol Provincial Police Office in Camp Francisco Dagohoy pending the filing of charges against him. (Dave Albarado/PNA)
