P2.1-M smuggled cigarettes seized in Dipolog City

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) seized smuggled cigarettes worth P2.1 million in Dipolog City on Monday, Feb. 20.

The Coast Guard K9 Force discovered the confiscated goods in rice bran bags.

The confiscated smuggled cigarettes consisted of:

  • Berlin Red (7 Master Cases) worth P245,000
  • Berlin Red (49 rims) worth P34,300
  • 2m Red (5 Master Cases) worth P175,000 
  • 2m Red (44 rims) worth P30,800
  • 2m Black (3 Master Cases) worth P105,000
  • Canon (10 Master Cases) worth P350,000
  • Fort (18 Master Cases) worth P630,000
  • Fort (47 rims) worth P32,900
  • Champion (48 rims) worth P33,600
  • Champion (15 Master Cases) worth P525,000
  • Rice Bran (32 bags)

Also confiscated and turned over to the Bureau of Customs was an Isuzu van with an estimated value of P1.2 million. –Katrina Gracia Consebido/ gb
