P4.25-M illegal drugs seized in Cavite buy-bust op

DASMARIŇAS CITY, Cavite — Anti-drug police operatives here arrested two alleged drug pushers and two minor drug peddlers, shortly after the latter yielded some 625 grams of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth PHP4.25 million during a buy-bust operation at the Muslim community center in Datu Esmael village late Monday.

City police officer-in-charge Supt. Alvin Consolacion identified the suspected drug pushers as Paks Mangotara Boncarao, 63, and Anisah Mocaibat Bongcarao, 19; and the two suspected drug peddlers as alias “Dagul”, 15, and alias “Gagil”, 17, all residents of Barangay Datu Esmael in Dasmariñas City

During the operation, the police operatives recovered seven heat-sealed transparent plastic cellophanes containing suspected shabu placed in a green plastic bag, and the PHP4,500 buy-bust money.

The police are currently filing criminal charges against the suspects for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, before the City Prosecutors Office.

Consolacion said the drug haul and the arrest of the drug suspects are the result of intensive police anti-drug operations to guarantee the safety and security of the community and the general public. (Dennis Abrina/PNA)
