P5.1-B worth of shabu seized

A Chinese national, Yuwen Cai, along with two accomplices, Angela and Ma. Lyn Tulio, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Marilao, Bulacan where over 700 kilos of shabu have been found in cans of biscuit.

Authorities estimated the worth of seized crystal meth at Php 5.1 billion.

According to Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PGen. Archie Gamboa, there may be other possible links with the arrested individuals.

Authorities believe that the said contraband came from another country judging from the different language seen in the packaging.

The Police Chief disclosed that if the operation failed, the illegal drugs may have reached Visayas and Mindanao.
