‘Paeng’ death toll reaches 110; Damage to agriculture nearly P1.3-B

The death toll from Severe Tropical Storm “Paeng” has reached 110, the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) reported Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Meanwhile, NDRRMC said 101 people were injured and 33 others were missing.

“Paeng” affected 741,777 families or a total of 2,418,249 individuals.

Damage to agriculture and infrastructure was pegged at nearly P1.3 billion and P760 million, respectively.

The agency also reported that 188 roads and 84 bridges in Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Soccsksargen, Caraga, Bangsamoro, and Cordillera Administrative Region remained not passable as of Tuesday morning.

Sixty-six seaports also remained non-operational.
