Quezon Province declares state of calamity

Quezon Province is under a state of calamity following the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm “Paeng.”

According to a statement by the Provincial Government of Quezon on Monday, Oct. 31, the provincial council approved the recommendation of Governor Helen Tan’s to declare a state of calamity.

The provincial council also approved the use of the province’s Quick Release Fund to assist residents affected by “Paeng.”

Quezon was among the first areas where “Paeng” made landfall.
