PAF looking for OV-10 spares worth P52.7-M

MANILA — The Philippine Air Force (PAF), through its Bids and Awards Committee, is setting aside the sum of PHP52.75 million for the acquisition of spare parts needed for the maintenance of its Rockwell OV-10 “Bronco” attack planes.

The submission and opening of bids will be held at the PAF Procurement Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City at 10 a.m. on July 4, a bulletin posted at the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System announced.

“All particulars relative to Eligibility Statement and Screening, Bid Security, Performance Security, Pre-Bidding Conference/s, Evaluation of Bids, Post-Qualification and Award of Contract shall be governed by the pertinent provisions of Republic Act No. 9184 and its

Implementing Rules and Regulations,” PAF Bids and Awards Committee chair Brig. Gen. Ferynl Buca said in the bid bulletin published last June 13.

The OV-10s are the PAF’s premier ground attack aircraft. Some six to eight units are in service as of this posting. (Priam Nepomuceno/PNA)
