Palace assures other labs available as PRC stops COVID-19 tests

Malacañang has assured that the public must not worry about the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) testing operations in the country after the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has released a statement on stopping its efforts for PhilHealth beneficiaries including OFWs and frontline government workers.

The PRC has explained that its credit has roughly P1 billion causing it to stop its COVID-19 testing.

However, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque has stated that while the PRC is playing a big role in the testing capacity of the country, there are still other laboratories conducting COVID-19 tests.

National Task Force against COVID-19 (NTF) Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez has added that the government is discussing the matter with the PRC.
