Palace dismayed by crowding in malls due to relaxed quarantine measures

Malacañang is dismayed by the gathering of people in malls after quarantine measures have been partially relaxed to restore the Philippine economy.

Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque warned mall owners to strictly implement the minimum health standards or the closure of their establishments will be ordered.

Sec.Roque cautioned the public that the quarantine measures might return to the enhanced community quarantine if the situation worsens. He reiterated not to be complacent and to keep on abiding by health protocols to prevent further transmission of the virus.

Meanwhile, Sec. Roque also stated that President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to return to Metro Manila on Monday night. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
