Palace: Gov’t probing death of Los Baños mayor

Malacañang has allayed public fear regarding the death of Los Baῆos Mayor Caesar Perez and other people included in the narco list.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque assured that the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is conducting a thorough investigation on the recent killing of the local chief executive.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte himself guarantees that justice will be served on the incident and assistance will be given to the family, according to Roque.

He also emphasized that it is the obligation of the state and the country to probe killings and provide remedies in accordance with the law following the statements of Vice President Leni Robredo.

That is what we are already doing because Sec. Año has already ordered the investigation on the murder of the Los Baños mayor),” he stated.

Our message to VP Leni Robredo is to wait for the investigation because that is not instant. There are measures being undertaken by the police to identify the killers before arrive at a conclusion),” he added. – Report from Naomi Tiburcio
