Panelo: Albayalde not pressured to step down

PGen. Oscar Albayalde may have relinquished his post as the Philippine National Police (PNP) director general but the Palace has declared that he still has Pres. Reodrigo Duterte’s trusts, that is, until a clear piece of evidence shall link him to the “ninja cops” .

Panelo also pointed out that Albayalde’s resignatin was not imposed by the Chief Executive. The presidential spokesperson believes that the former police chief might have been fed up by the allegations on his person. “I can’t read his mind, but I can only speculate that maybe he had enough of the… according to him, false, unfair accusations . . . especially because his family is suffering,” Panelo said.

Meanwhile, Panelo calls on critics of the government who dare officials to all sorts of challenges, that they propose concrete solutions to the country’s traffic woes instead.
