Panelo: Suspension of talks on loans won’t impact on PH economy

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo stated that shunning loans and grants from countries that voted for the Iceland resolution will not have any negative effect on the economy. The Department of Finance (DOF) agrees with this. Eighteen countries recently approved a United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) resolution that calls for a probe on the war against illegal drugs in the Philippines. On the contrary, a recent Social Weather Stations survey reveals that 82% or 8 it of 10 Filipinos are satisfied with the government’s campaign against illegal drugs since it jas improved the country’s peace and order situation.
