Partial deployment ban in Kuwait approved by DOLE

Following the slaying of overseas Filipino worker in Kuwait Jeanelyn Padernal Villavende by, allegedly, her Kuwaiti employer, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has approved the partial deployment ban for Filipino workers going there. The labor arm enjoined the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration to convene the governing board to issue a resolution towards the immediate execution of said prohibition. Further, the ban will include only first time laborers whom will work as household servants.
