MANILA — The southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon will continue to bring rains over parts of the island on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said Ilocos, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Groups of Islands, Zambales and Bataan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by “localized thunderstorms”.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow over the northern and western sections of Luzon. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to strong.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
