SPO1 Adonis N. Corpuz, assigned at Traffic Management Unit (TMU), Eastern Police District (EPD) was arrested Thursday morning by elements of the CITF working with Eastern Police District-Special Operations Unit (EPD-SOU) and Intelligence Group (IG).

The entrapment operation was conducted at the 7-Eleven store at the Discovery Building, Life Homes, Rosario, Pasig City.

Claudio B. Homicillda, a complainant, said Corpuz was extorting PHP1,000 as protection money every 15th and 30th of the month from UV Express drivers at Lucky Gold terminal in Rosario, Pasig City.

Corpuz would harass and threaten to arrest PUV drivers if they fail to pay their “dues”. He also collects PHP500 weekly from a “habal-habal” terminal in Pasig City.
