Patients needing admission secure hospital bed via OHCC

The One Hospital Command Center (OHCC) said it is still able to find hospital beds for patients needing admission amid the reported full occupancy of some health facilities.

“Patience lang din po talaga ang kailangan ngayon hindi naman po namin kayo bibitawan,” OHCC medical officer Dr. Marylaine Padlan said, adding that they are not rejecting callers who are seeking assistance.

Several Metro Manila hospitals have already reported full occupancy, while some have entered critical risk classification like the Lung Center of the Philippines.

“This has something to do with the incubation period of the virus. So halimbawa from July 13, that was our lowest census – 20 admitted Covid patients,” hospital Spokesperson Dr. Norberto Francisco said.

“By the end of the month, naging three times ‘yan. Mga 60 admitted cases noong end of July. Ngayong nasa August 13 tayo, roughly two weeks after, we are at 135 admitted patients,” Francisco added.

DOH Aug. 12 data show that the intensive care utilization (ICU) of NCR is at 68%, isolation beds at 59%, ward beds at 62%, and ventilators are 52%. The nationwide ICU utilization is at 69%.

The OHCC said its lines remain open for the referral of other patients who are experiencing illnesses other than COVID-19.

The following are the contact numbers of OHCC:
