“Tuloy-tuloy lang po ang pagtatrabaho, hindi bakasyon.”
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. remains unfazed by survey results reflecting public confidence in his governance and his administration’s performance, Malacañang reiterated Wednesday.
This, as President Marcos Jr.’s satisfaction ratings improved in the second quarter of this year, according to the June 2026 survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) released on Tuesday.
Based on the survey, 38% of adult Filipinos said they were satisfied with his performance, while 45% were dissatisfied and 17% were undecided.
This translates into an increase in the President’s net satisfaction rating to -7 in the second quarter, up from -15 in the first quarter of the year.
“Tumaas, bumaba, ang Pangulo ay hindi po apektado ng numero. Tumaas yan, bumaba yan, ang focus ng Pangulo ay magtrabaho,” Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said in a press briefing.
“In the first place, hindi naman po siya tatakbo bilang pangulo sa susunod. So, trabaho lang po,” she added.
Castro stressed that while the Chief Executive’s work is not driven by survey results, his Cabinet does not disregard the public’s sentiments and takes note of the areas that need improvement and focus.
“Kung ano ang kailangang maipaabot sa ating mga kababayan, yun po ang gagawin ng ating Pangulo at ng administrasyon na ito,” she said.
The President is currently in Singapore for a working visit until Thursday, July 16, where he is expected to strengthen bilateral ties and expand economic cooperation with the Philippines’ fellow Southeast Asian nation.
Earlier this week, Marcos Jr. led the inauguration of MTerra Solar Phase 1, the largest solar and battery storage facility in the world located in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija.
As part of his administration’s continued push for sports development in the country, the President also inspected the National Academy of Sports’ facilities at the New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac on Tuesday and honored Filipina tennis star Alexandra Eala on Monday following her sensational run at the Wimbledon Championships.
The Chief Executive also had a packed schedule on Monday, where he visited the province of Camiguin for the inauguration of the Benoni Port Light Craft Landing Station in Mahinog, as well as the distribution of rice assistance under the Bawat Bayan Makikinabang program and the inspection of Camiguin General Hospital.
