As part of his unwavering commitment to delivering services that resonate with the common folk, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. continues to make progress in its “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” campaign.

In the program’s latest stop at General Trias City, Cavite, President Marcos Jr. led the distribution of 10-kg rice packs to 2,000 family-beneficiaries, as well as the handover of P200,000 in financial support to 33 villages in the same locale.

Both initiatives are backed by the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF), with the list of the program’s benefactors sourced from local government officials to ensure that these interventions proceed to those who need them most.

Over P6.6 million in financial assistance was also turned over from the Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF) to barangays in General Trias.

Education within reach

At the same event, the President also met with 165 Bagong Pilipinas Barangay Scholars, who are also beneficiaries of the SCPF Program.

Of the P200,000 given to each village, half of the amount would be allocated to five presidential scholars, with each one receiving P20,000 in support of their education.

President Marcos Jr. hailed this initiative as pivotal in ensuring that knowledge continues to transcend generations of Filipinos, as well as in securing a brighter future for Filipino youth.

He addressed the scholars, “At lagi ko ngang sinasabi at idinidiin sa ating mga scholar, mag-aral kayo mabuti, masipag kayo mag-aral dahil ang edukasyon, ang magandang edukasyon ay isang napakalaking kayamanan na dala-dala na ninyo.”

The Chief Executive concluded, “At ito ay tutulong sa inyo para tulungan ang inyong sarili, ang inyong mga pamilya, magiging pamilya, and of course, also your community.” (with report from Clay Pardilla | PTV News)
