President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is pushing for a stronger partnership between the government and the private sector as he recognized the role of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) in building Sino-Filipino communities.
This, as he administered on Wednesday, June 7, the oath-taking of the new set of officers of the FFCCCII in Malacañan Palace.
“Now more than ever, we call on our reliable partnership with the Federation as we strive to revitalize and transform our economy in this critical period of our history,” Marcos said.
“As in every mutually beneficial partnership, the Federation will rest assured that this administration will continue to support this healthy relationship,” he added.
The chief executive noted government measures to ease processes in the business sector, including the provision and improvement of tax administration and fiscal incentives system.
“We are also streamlining existing regulatory mechanism through expedited and integrated processes and digitalization of key government services,” he said.
FFCCCII President Cecilio Pedro, meanwhile, assured the Marcos administration of the federation’s support by serving the country through business and work in their communities.
Marcos also received a scale model of a two-classroom school building from FFCCCII officials, as he thanked them for their contributions in the education sector through the “Operation: Barrio Schools.”
The FFCCCII is the largest Filipino-Chinese business organization in the Philippines with over 170 member organizations. AG/With reports from Mela Lesmoras – gb
