PCMC kickstarts rollout of COVID-19 2nd booster shot

The Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) kickstarted on Monday, April 25, the rollout of the second booster of COVID-19 vaccine for immunocompromised individuals.

“Doon po sa mga matatanda… nandyan na yung second booster para sa inyo,” PCMC Deputy Executive Dr. Mary Bunyi said as she urged the public to get their second booster jab.

According to the Department of Health-National Capital Region (DOH-NCR) only 249,000 immunocompromised individuals are eligible to get the second booster.

“All out pa rin ang implementation ng strategies… Pinapalapit ang bakuna sa kanila, were still doing visits to work areas, medical clinics and pharmacies tuloy-tuloy as vaccination sites,” PCMC Deputy Executive Director for Education Training and Research Dr. Aleli Sudiacal said. —Report from Mark Fetalco/ GC – gb
