PDEA seizes sports car, P340-K shabu in Naga City

LEGAZPI CITY — Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized PHP340,000 worth of suspected shabu from an alleged drug peddler in a hotel in Naga City, Camarines Sur, a PDEA report said Sunday.
 
The suspected drug peddler, who was identified as Felipe Sabdao alias Don, 32, of Barangay Salugan, Camalig, Albay, was nabbed in a buy-bust operation in Moraville Hotel in Barangay Mabolo, Naga City at around 3 p.m. Saturday, PDEA Bicol acting chief Christian Frivaldo.
 
PDEA agents confiscated from the suspect two plastic packets containing 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with a street value of PHP340,000.
 
A Chevrolet Camaro sports car owned by the suspect was also impounded, Frivaldo said.
 
In an interview, Frivaldo said the latest drug seizure brings the worth of shabu seized from 13 high-value target drug personalities to PHP850,000, in just a week of drug operations in Camarines Sur. ( Mar Serrano/PNA)
