Supreme Court junks petition for the Writ of Kalikasan on the West Philippine Sea

The Supreme Court has dismissed the Writ of Kalikasan filed by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines for a group of fisherfolk from Palawan and Zambales. The petition was meant to order the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to enforce maritime and environmental laws on the West Philippine Sea. The petition has been junked after some of the fishermen disowned the plea.
