PH hits 13-M in COVID-19 vax program

The Philippines has administered over 13 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

In an interview with Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje, she reported that the country has hit the 13 million mark in the COVID-19 vaccination program as of Saturday (July 10).

Based on the department’s data, 9.6-M were administered as the first dose while 3.4-M were administered as the second dose.

Cabotaje also said the vaccination of individuals is quickly conducted despite the few supplies of COVID-19 vaccines. She added that the doses per seven-day average has climbed between 170,000 and 250,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Meanwhile, 37,800 doses of Sputnik V component I vaccines arrived in the country on July 10 and 132,200 doses of Sputnik V vaccines arrived on July 9.  (PTV News)/NGS-rir
