PhilHealth covers hospital bills for COVID-19 patients until April 14

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) will cover the bills of all coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients in both public and private hospitals until April 14.

According to PhilHealth Chief Ricardo Morales, the agency has set the said date considering the fact that COVID-19 is unusual and that the severity of the disease varies.

PhilHealth trusts that after April 14 there would be more information about COVID-19 and by then, the agency can release the final protocol and proper rates in accordance with the fight against COVID-19.

There are also recommended packages such as the isolation package and referral package for members that have symptoms of COVID-19. – PTV News
