PhilHealth pays another PhP 100M to PRC


The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has paid an additional PhP 100 million for its arears with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

According to PhilHealth CEO Dante Gierran, the payment is for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) testing of returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). The validation of claims are being rushed to immediately pay for the swab tests conducted by the PRC. Tis is meant to reduce the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic particularly on the OFWs. – PTV News
