Philippine Navy sends two ships for Mindanao relief ops

The Philippine Navy sends two warships, the Barko ng Republika ng Pilipinas (BRP) Ang Pangulo and BRP Emilio Jacinto, to help out in alleviating the impaired condition of Mindanao, particularly in logistics support, humanitarian assistance, and disaster-response capability there. In addition, they will beef up the navy’s activities in Southern Philippines, particularly in maritime patrol and internal security.
