Philippines hosts Asian Swimming Championships in 2020

The Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Swimming Inc., Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), and Asian Swimming Federation have inked the Philippine’s hosting of the 11th Asian Swimming Championships that takes place next year, 2020. The Philippines had topped the list of hosts for the event, with Vietnam and Thailand as the other choices. Some of the competitions in the event will be swimming, water polo, diving, and artistic contest. The BCDA sees said auspices as a milestone not only because of its first ever occurrence in the country’s history, but also the chance to showcase again the superb features of the aquatic center in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac. Nearly 50 countries are expected to partake in the Asian swimming battle.
