MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur — Marawi City children sang and danced to the music in a puppet show conducted by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) here on Nov. 26.

More than 600 children were awed by the puppet shows held at the Sarimanok Tent City in the morning and another one in Brgy. Bito Buadi Itowa in the afternoon.

Brgy. Bito Buadi Itowa Camp manager, Engr. Ismael Ali, thanked PIA for organizing the show.

“Nagpapasalamat kami sa pagbibigay kasiyahan sa mga bata. Talagang nasiyahan sila (We thank them for giving joy to the kids. They made them really happy),” Ali said.

He also invited more groups to organize shows for children since he had not seen other entertainment shows for children.

“Kung mayroon pang pupunta dito, talagang welcome na welcome sa amin (If there are others who wish to come here, they are very welcome),” he added.

The puppet show was a form of psychosocial intervention under TFBM’s Kumpas Barangay Serbisyo Caravan, an effort that aims to deliver government services to Marawi internally displaced persons (IDPs).
