Picture-perfect Lyceum routs CSB, stays unblemished in NCAA 93

The flawless four straight wins were still not enough as the Lyceum Pirates on Tuesday extended their historical run in the premiere collegiate league by routing College of Saint Benilde Blazers, 98-55, in NCAA Season 93 at Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan Arena.

Even though the Pirates restrained by rough and slow start, few minutes were only needed to raise their momentum and deliver a half time blitz with 26-point lead, 47-21.

The Pirates’ three-balls kept on flying, burying the Blazers, which displayed a more efficient 8/23 percentage compared to CSB’s 8/24.

Merciless CJ Perez and Jaycee Marcelino dictated the Pirates’ offensive onslaught, bringing the picture-perfect Lyceum on a monstrous game performance.

The lead kept on ballooning until it reached a 46-point difference, and there was no looking behind since the desensitized Lyceum grabbed the lead.

“We got beaten by St. Benilde last year. They were 1 -17 and that one win came from us. That’s the motivation for us,” Coach Topex Robinson said in the post-game presser.

The unblemished Pirates gave their counterparts some hard time on their own offensive end, forcing the Blazers to 40 turnovers – which they converted into their own 46 points.

Moreover, the Lyceum squad showcased an impressive 47% overall shooting, which came from those magnificent 21 dishes.

Marcelino spearheaded the Lyceum with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal in just 16 minutes of play while Perez contributed with 14 markers, 6 boards, 7 dimes and 4 steals. | Tretch Melarpes – PTV News
