MANILA- Filipino Alvin Barbero will showcase his talent in the 2022 World Snooker Federation Open Championship from Feb. 19 to 26 at the Ding Junhui Snooker Academy in Sheffield, England.
The snooker artist from Barangay Plainview, Mandaluyong City captivated the pool circuit by winning the bronze medal during the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore and the silver medal in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in Manila, both in the doubles competition.
He teamed up with Michael Mengorio in the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore and then partnered with Jeffrey Roda in 2019 when the games were held in Manila.
“I hope to do well in the 2022 World Snooker Federation Open Championship in England,” Barbero said.
“I will pour all that I know in the snooker sports,” he added.
Ashley Hugill of England is the defending champion of the upcoming tournament.
