Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Gen. Oscar Albayalde, will be out of the country for 10 days to attend meetings and seminars on counter terrorism.
“The CPNP (Chief PNP) is out of the country for a 10-day (March 12-22) official mission abroad to attend working meetings, discussion and seminar on counter terrorism upon invitation of the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), and counterparts in the US,” PNP spokesperson, Col. Bernard Banac, said in a message sent to reporters on Tuesday.
Albayalde has designated Lt. Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa as officer-in-charge of the PNP.
The national police chief will be accompanied by PNP Deputy Chief for Administration, Lt. Gen. Fernando Mendez Jr., Banac added.
