PNP condemns ‘digital vandal’

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has expressed disappointment on the digital vandalism on the walls of Camp Crame.

“Much as we respect the freedom of the vandals to express their sentiments, we believe this freedom has limits and must not step beyond national interest,” PNP Spokesperson PBGEN. Bernard Banac said.

“Although the vandals did not leave any visible mark, the fact the attack targeted a national historical site on the same day that the country commemorates the anniversary of EDSA People Power Revolution makes it totally deplorable,” he added.

During the anniversary celebration of EDSA People Power Revolution, the group Concerned Artists of the Philippines went to Camp Crame to condemn human rights abuses in the country.

“Although the vandals did not leave any visible mark, the fact that the attack targeted a national historical site on the same day that the country commemorates the anniversary of EDSA People Power Revolution makes it totally deplorable,” he added. – Report from Bea Bernardo
