PNP eyes several personalities allegedly behind ‘vaccine slot for sale’ scheme

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is currently looking into several personalities who are allegedly behind the “vaccine slot for sale” scheme.

The authorities were recently alarmed due to the report of selling vaccine slots in the cities of San Juan and Mandaluyong where a slot costs ₱12,000 to ₱15,000.

According to PNP Spokesperson Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Olay, the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) is one of the groups looking into the investigation as well as the PNP-Anti Cybercrime Division.

“Kailangan pa yan ng mas malalim na imbestigasyon, ‘yung mga personalities na mga lumalabas yan ay pagsisimulan ng mas malalim na imbestigasyon ng PNP.”

In relation to this, the organization urges those who have information regarding the matter to coordinate with the PNP.

Meanwhile, PNP Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar ordered the police commanders to use the OPLAN Bandillo to encourage the public to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

The OPLAN Bandillo is a community awareness and information dissemination program against criminal elements.
