Poll registration gets nearly 3-M new voters

A total of 2,936,979 individuals were added to the country’s list of new registered voters, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

This is based on the Comelec voter registration from July 4 to July 23 in preparation for the  Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

Of the new voters, a total of 1,814,907 are 15 years old to 17 years old and 963,418 are between 18 years old to 30 years old.
