Portions of Meralco Ave closed until 2028

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) advised the public that portions of Meralco Avenue in Ortigas, Pasig City will be closed to traffic starting on Oct. 3 until 2028 to give way for the construction of the Metro Manila Subway project;

DOTr said the road closure will cover the front section of Capitol Commons up to the corner of Shaw Boulevard.

Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs) heading from Meralco Avenue to Shaw Boulevard will be rerouted to Captain Henry Javier St. to Danny Floro St. and vice versa.

Modern PUJs from Meralco Avenue going to Shaw Boulevard will be rerouted to Doña Julia Vargas Avenue to San Miguel Avenue and vice versa.

Meanwhile, UV Express vehicles and units from Meralco Avenue going to Shaw Boulevard will be rerouted to Doña Julia Vargas Avenue to San Miguel Avenue or Anda Road to Camino Verde.

All available routes are accessible for all private vehicles. –KC/gb
