The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) opened the Port Operations Building (POB) in Palawan on Wednesday, March 22 to prepare for the influx of passengers traveling to the province during Holy Week.

Coron POB increased the port’s capacity to 500 passengers and can accommodate 700 to 900 passengers during peak season.

According to PPA General Manager Jay Santiago, Coron POB is one that PPA can be proud of especially now that the peak tourist season is approaching.

“This will not only bring tourist, and trade to the surrounding provinces of Plawan, but this will also bring connectivity and mobility to the people and tourists of Palawan,” Santiago said.

It links Palawan’s top tourist destination, Port of Coron.

– gb
