Pres. Duterte appoints new PCW Chairperson

Malacañang confirmed that President Rodrigo R. Duterte has appointed a new chairperson for the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).

According to Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Commissioner Sandra Montano has replaced PCW Chairperson Rhodora Bucoy.

In a statement, the PCW clarified that Bucoy resigned from her position and was not fired by the President. “We would like to inform our stakeholders that Chairperson [Rhodora] Bucoy tendered her resignation letter dated July 7, 2020.” – Report from Mela Lesmoras
