President Rodrigo Duterte has called for a cabinet meeting next Monday to further address problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, including joblessness and transportation.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said more policies are expected to be created in response to the needs of the nation amid the health emergency.
“Nagkaroon po kasi ng briefing si Sec. Dominguez at Sec. Karl Chua tungkol doon sa epekto ng pandemiya sa ekonomiya. At pinakita nila na dahil nga sa pandemiya, humina ang ekonomiya, na nagresulta sa mas marami pang nagugutom at mas marami pang mga batang malnourished (Sec. Dominguez and Sec. The two economic experts proposed to expand the opening of the economy since the country can live with COVID-19, as long as health protocols are strictly observed.
