President Rodrigo R. Duterte signed Executive Order No. 119 creating a backup government center in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac.
Under EO 119, the establishment will be called the National Government Administrative Center that will serve as the recovery center and backup administrative hub if the NCR is affected by a grave calamity.
President Duterte also ordered all departments and agencies to establish their respective satellite offices in the area. Moreover, the funds for the said government center will come from the available funds of the concerned agencies. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
