Pres. Marcos congratulates new Malaysian PM Ibrahim

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday, Nov. 25, extended his personal greetings to Malaysia’s Anwar Ibrahim, the newly appointed prime minister of the Southeast Asian nation.

“I would like to congratulate my good friend Anwar Ibrahim on his election as Prime Minister of Malaysia. I look forward to the stability that his leadership will provide Malaysia and the region,” Marcos said.

“My personal and official congratulations,” he added.

Ibrahim, a former deputy prime minister, took his oath of office on Thursday as the 10th prime minister of Malaysia. -ag
