
President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday, July 11, conferred the Order of Sikatuna on outgoing Cambodian Ambassador to the Philippines Tuot Panha during her farewell call on President Duterte in Malacañan.
The Order of Sikatuna was conferred on the Cambodian Ambassador for her role in “facilitating high-level visits and meetings, for her dedicated efforts for further strengthening cooperation to promote greater peace, progress, and prosperity for our peoples, countries, and region, for helping bring closer the peoples of the Republic of the Philippines and the Kingdom of Cambodia in greater friendship, understanding, and mutual respect.”
Ambassador Tuot Panha was conferred the Order of Sikatuna with the rank of Grand Cross (Datu), gold distinction.
Prior to her appointment as Cambodia’s Ambassador to the Philippines, the Cambodian envoy was a long-time undersecretary of state at the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She served in the Philippines for less than six years. (PND)
