President-elect Marcos meets economic team

President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. gathered the members of his economic team Monday, June 6, to discuss the recovery plans of the country from COVID-19.

Marcos Jr. outlined his priorities and directed them to work on the Philippine economy that was severely affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

Incoming Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno led the economic team.

Incoming Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, incoming Socioeconomic Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, incoming Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, and incoming Public Works Secretary Manuel Bonoan were also present at the meeting.

Meanwhile, Marcos Jr. will be taking his oath of office at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila on June 30. – gb
