PRO-3 gets 32 brand new vehicles

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office-3 (Central Luzon) on Monday received 32 brand new vehicles from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Directorate for Logistics.

The distribution of the new Toyota Hi-Lux Patrol Jeep Single Cab (4×2) is part of the continuing effort of the PNP to upgrade the facilities and equipment of the local police force under its capability enhancement program.

The blessing and turnover ceremony of the 32 brand new vehicles was held at the PRO-3 parade ground here, right after Monday’s regular flag-raising rites.

The recipients of the new patrol vehicles are the police provincial offices of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Tarlac.

Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus, PRO3 director, said the arrival of the new vehicles is very timely as they are vigorously implementing various pro-active anti-criminality measures, such as round-the-clock checkpoints and mobile patrolling throughout the region.

Corpus expressed belief that the delivery of police services will be  more effective and efficient with these new additional vehicles.

“With this additional mobility, the public can expect the PNP-PRO3 to respond better to crimes and  incidents,” he said.

Corpus also urged the recipients to make good use of the new vehicles at all times to enable them to serve the community better. (Ric Sapnu/PNA)
